Description

The following information relates only to my variation of the Batman Universe and does not tie into any existing Batman universes.

The model used in the image came from Azalea Dolls' "Harley Quinn Dress up" game.
I wholly own the character of Wilhelmina "Wild Card" Carde.

...

Name: Wilhelmina Michelle Carde
Alias: Wild Card, Slender Woman (former criminal gimmick), Willy (nickname)
Age: 16
Justice League Threat Level: 5
Known Affiliations: The Jokers (Street Gang, Lieutenant), The Slender Man (formerly)
Known Associates: The Joker (informally adopted "father"), Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn (informally adopted "mother"), Dr. Wilberforce Brooks/Slender Man (Maternal Uncle - Deceased), The Rabbit and Hats Club (former employee).
Known Abilities: Expert gymnast, professional stilt walker, immunity to Slender Gas (natural immunity), immunity to Smile-X (provided by the Joker), limited expertise in chemistry (limited to the production of Slender Gas)
Notes: Confirmed specialty case of Dependent Personality Disorder (fixates on single individual for physical and emotional needs, current subject: the Joker)
Notable Equipment: Baseball bat (custom painted), AK-47, Slender Gas & Smile-X canisters.

Wilhelmina Carde grew up in a broken home. Her father was abusive (possibly to even more inappropriate measures. unconfirmed) and her mother was a drug addict. It's believed that Carde's mother might have been on drugs while pregnant with Carde. Eventually, the state had to get involved and had her sent to live with her maternal uncle, Dr. Wilberforce Brooks, a School Councilor and Psychiatrist at Gotham Academy, the most prestigious Academy in Gotham. Early in her uncle's care, he discovered that Carde suffered from a unique case of Dependent Personality Disorder where as, instead of relying on others for her physical and emotional needs, she fixates on a single person to the level of fanaticism. This was noticed by an almost obsessive need to return to her father's care. Brooks confirmed it wasn't Stockholm syndrome early on when she started to fixate on him instead. While in Dr. Brooks' care, she was a victim of Dr. Jonathan Crane, the Scarecrow, who gassed her with his fear toxin. Fortunately she seemed to recover faster than most other victims, something which Brooks noticed.

Brooks had been an old classmate of Crane's and was also capable of reproducing the fear toxin himself, something Crane never knew. Brooks himself had been driven mad by years of being ridiculed and pranked by his very students, especially during a series of "Psych Hikes" which were meant to take students out into the forest to learn to cope without the modern amenities. The hikes instead became opportunities to victimize the Doctor with incessant pranks. Carde was lightly injured in one of these pranks and finally drove Brooks over the edge, plotting to get his revenge. With Carde as his willing accomplice, Brooks set about to use the Slender Man mythos as a means of getting his revenge on those who had wronged him.

Carde, at the time, was working for Zatanna Zatara's Rabbit and Hats Club and was aware that Zatanna had made a talisman capable of allowing people to teleport certain distances. Carde stole this talisman to aid in their plot and to give the Slender Man his teleporting ability. Brooks and Carde's talent for stilt-walking gave the Slender Man his height too. Together, Brooks and Carde went about abducting their victims, knocking them out with Slender Gas, a non-hallucinogenic version of Scarecrow's Fear Gas that Brooks had created. Carde and Brooks had successfully abducted 4 of their victims (and Carde herself in a faux-abduction to remove her from suspicion) before Batman caught up to them. Carde and Brooks were forced to flee while the Batclan rescued their hostages. The two then went straight for their ultimate target: Scarecrow. Together they broke Crane out of Arkham and were about to murder him when the Batman intervened, incapacitating Carde but Brooks was sent plummeting to his death over the Arkham Cliffs despite Batman's best efforts. Carde was then committed to Arkham Asylum, placed on suicide watch, her DPD sending her into a suicidal panic with the loss of her uncle. Nearly a month later, Carde was broken out of Arkham by the Joker and Harley Quinn, the Joker sensing an opportunity to make her into a faithful minion. Carde succumbed to the allure of a new focus for her DPD in the Joker and has become his faithful servant, becoming Wild Card.

Wild Card has become almost Harley Quinn-esque in her choice of appearance, but is just as faithful to the Joker as Harley is. Her presence on the Joker's immediate team makes her a particularly dangerous threat to two members of the Batclan, Robin and Blackbat as they were former classmates of hers at Gotham Academy. Her life is more at risk than theirs though as the Joker has already threatened to kill her if she were to ever expose the Batman or any of the Batclan's secret identities. Her unpredictable nature makes her a particularly dangerous foe.

Carde is an expert gymnast and a talented stilt-walker, capable of using a pair of custom built spring stilts, an ability taught to her by her uncle, a former Coney Island entertainer. Brooks also taught Carde how to create Slender Gas and possesses a natural immunity to the gas's negative effects. The effect of Slender Gas instead stimulates her, giving her an adrenaline rush and exciting her. The Joker also inoculated her against Smile-X after bringing her aboard. She's also capable of wielding assault grade weaponry, specifically an AK-47. Since becoming Wild Card, Carde has dyed her naturally blonde hair red and blue similar to Harley Quinn's hair.
